Poem ~ The Dragon

You may think I’m just a

a fifteenth-year-old girl

with Curly brown hair

and  Bright amber  eyes

But I am more than that

not a Shark or a Rose

not a Storm nor a Butterfly

A Dragon

a stout, vengeful Dragon

when I’m drowning fury

the world shakes in my wake

or alone in vast expanses

I am a Dragon

full of rage

with clashing Wraith

mass Chaos and Grace

But when I’m Calm

my wings open up

and I take to the sky

Blue skies against amber scales

Peace rises to the occasion

and villagers reappear

I soar above the clouds

Claws scraping against the atmosphere

Twisting and Spiraling

surprising others with roars of happiness

I begin to Descend

A Wyvern’s cat eyes fall to the surface

Until I get tired

that’s where the flight ends

Until I must sigh and start again

Clashing

Soaring

Over and

Over again

The brown-hair amber-eyed girl

Is a dragon

A Beautiful, Loved, Dangerous Dragon

All in One Flight
